Альбом "Rides Again" замечательной рок-группы James Gang был записан в 1970 г. в Лос Анджелесе (США) на студии "A" компании "Record Plant". Великолепный автор, соло-гитарист и вокалист Joe Walsh (более известный нам по группе Eagles) впоследствии вспоминал, что это были чуть ли не лучшие дни в его жизни. Он и его коллеги по группе James Gang испытывали некое особое творческое вдохновение. Уолш и два других музыканта - Jim Fox (ударные. перкуссия) и Dale "Bugsley" Peters (гитара, 12-струнная гитара), записали для альбома девять отличных песен и композиций, подлинными шедеврами из которых по праву считаются "Funk #49" и "The Bomber (Medley)". В этих песнях отражен дух хипповской эпохи и они прекрасно звучат со сцены (и на диске, разумеется) и сегодня.

Уникальная манера пения Джо Уолша, его саркастический или почти шутовской вокал очень впечатляют и придают песням дополнительную энергетику. Когда-то этот альбом считался всего лишь одним из тысячи других психоделических релизов, но время показало, что это одно из выдающихся произведений тех лет. Другие альбомы этого коллектива тоже неплохи, но "Rides Again", на мой взгляд, особенно выделяются те, в создании которых принимал участие Джо Уолша.

The album "Rides Again" by the wonderful rock band James Gang was recorded in 1970 in Los Angeles (USA) at Studio A of the Record Plant company. The magnificent author, lead guitarist and vocalist Joe Walsh (better known to us from the Eagles) later recalled that these were almost the best days of his life. He and his James Gang bandmates were experiencing some special creative inspiration. Walsh and two other musicians - Jim Fox (drums, percussion) and Dale "Bugsley" Peters (guitar, 12-string guitar), recorded nine excellent songs and compositions for the album, of which "Funk #49" and "Funk #49" are rightfully considered true masterpieces. "The Bomber (Medley)". These songs reflect the spirit of the hippie era and they sound great on stage (and on disc, of course) today.

Joe Walsh's unique singing style and his sarcastic or almost buffoonish vocals are very impressive and give the songs extra energy. This album was once considered just one of thousands of other psychedelic releases, but time has shown that this is one of the outstanding works of those years. The other albums of this band are also quite good, but “Rides Again”, in my opinion, especially those in the creation of which Joe Walsha took part, stand out.
